Who is SeaSquatch?
A patient, fun, engaging sea kayak instructor based on the Olympic Peninsula, dedicated to helping sea kayakers grow their skills and confidence in a range of conditions and venues.
Brian has spent years paddling and teaching in the Salish Sea and the Olympic Peninsula. He has experience in a range of conditions, from multi-day tours in British Columbia to surf sessions at Hobuck Beach. His versatility shapes his approach to teaching: safety first, then a learning experience that targets specific skills and conditions students want master. Brian teaches beginners as well as advanced paddlers. Brian is an American Canoe Association Level 3 Open Coastal Kayak Instructor. He holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Puget Sound. Additionally, he enjoys winters spend at Crystal Mountain as a PSIA Alpine Ski Instructor. This combination of advanced certification, formal training, and diverse teaching experience makes Paddling with SeaSquatch unique asset to the Northwest kayak community. Paddle with SeaSquatch!
